Q: When will my order ship?
A: Orders placed weekdays are usually packed the same day and ship the following business day. Orders placed on weekends are usually packed on Monday's and ship the following business day.
Q: Do you offer Express Post delivery?
A: Yes but only within Australia. There will be 2 shipping options displayed on the checkout page - Standard delivery and Express delivery. The estimated delivery days will also be displayed for each option. Once shipped, Express Post orders are generally delivered in 1 business day provided you are located in Australia Post's Express Post next day delivery network. Please visit the Australia Post Delivery Speeds & Coverage webpage for delivery times to your location.
Q: Do you ship internationally?
A: Yes we ship to virtually any country in the world. Once you enter your shipping address on the checkout page, the shipping costs will be displayed in the selected currency. Make sure you click or tab out of the address fields for this to display correctly. A message will be displayed if we do not ship to your location.
Q: Are international customs duties and fees included in your prices?
A: The prices displayed on the product pages do not include customs duties or fees. These taxes and charges will be applied on the checkout page once you've entered your full shipping address. We pay all the duties on your behalf, so there should be nothing else to pay at your end. All international orders also incur a 3.5% cross-border payment fee.
Q: How long do international orders take to arrive?
A: Each country is slightly different, but they generally take 2-3 weeks from shipment date.
Q: Can I pick up my order?
A: To keep our our prices as low as possible, we don't have a pick up option for online orders. If you buy from one of our in-store re-sellers (CLICK HERE for a list), by all means you can head over and maybe even see it in action!
Q: Do you have a re-seller in my location?
A: All of our re-sellers are listed on our BUY IN-STORE page. Unfortunately at this stage we are only present in Australian stores.
If we don't have a re-seller in your area you are more than welcome to pass our details on to your local pet store to see if they are interested in becoming a stockist.
Q: My local pet shop prices are higher than on your website, how come?
A: Our prices reflect the Recommended Retail Price (RRP). Some of our re-sellers are in quite remote areas of the country but still want to provide you our fantastic product. Unfortunately this comes with expensive shipping just to be able to stock them for you. Many of our regional re-sellers need to build this expense into their pricing. Even at a higher price it is generally more cost effective to the customer to buy in-store than to order online. Some pet shops also have very high costs to provide the convenience of a store - this can also affect the price.
Q: Is the SeedMate no-mess bird feeder safe for birds?
A: Yes, of course! We use high quality food-grade UV-stable "Virgin Acrylic" (not recycled) which is completely safe for birds and their food. Having been on the market for 13+ years and with over 50,000+ units sold, you can be reassured that our SeedMate no-mess bird feeders are safe. No other brand has the amount of experience we do.
Q: Can I use a SeedMate no-mess bird feeder as a water bath or drinking bowl?
A: Although our feeders can hold water, we dont guarantee it to be used in this way. The SeedMate bird feeder is designed for food only.
Q: How do I clean my SeedMate no-mess bird feeder?
A: Simply discard the leftover food at the end of the day, wash with warm water (NOT HOT!) and dishwashing liquid, rinse and dry with a soft microfibre cloth.
Q: Is the SeedMate no-mess bird feeder dishwasher or microwave safe?
A: No. Only wash it by hand as described in the previous answer. DO NOT place the feeder in a microwave oven!
Q: What's the difference between SeedMate and other brands?
A: That's easy. SeedMate is the original no-mess bird feeder. We created the concept over 13 years ago and have since sold over 50,000 units worldwide and counting! Sadly, there are some businesses who have "copied" our concept.
